CHECK IT OUT! Give your input for the TDP (Transit Development Plan). A session will be held from 8 AM to 8 PM tomorrow at the Omni William Penn Dahntahn. An additional session will be held on June 8th at the Alumni Hall on Pitt's campus from 2-5 PM and 5:30 to 7:30 PM.

What's that? You forgot what the TDP is? Here's a few links to refresh your memory:

I agree...I think #2 is the best of them. I'm all up for the Rapid Bus service, esp. if it gets me home faster by bypassing all the Shadyside stops. :D

Number 3 just looks bad.

Rapid bus service would be a good concept...I know sometimes people have to wait up to 2 hours to get a bus, and that can be really bad.
As much as we might get annoyed with different aspects of Pittsburgh though, you have to admit that it's a pretty amazing city.
We've got a lot going for us these days...it just seems like no one realizes it.
I was doing some research on that subject and came across a campaign that this internet marketing company is doing...they're trying to get Pittsburgh's official web site to rank #1 in googles search for "The Best City in the World."
If that doesn't get Pittsburgh the attention it deserves, I don't know what will.
Here's a link to the article about it...

You're preaching to the choir! I wasn't raised here, but after I went to school at Pitt, I fell in love with the city. That's why I live here now.

There are certain aspects that are frustrating (especially the politics) but it still gives me goosebumps everytime I come through that tunnel and see the beautiful skyline unfold in front of me.

I promise this is not a spam link!!

While MSN's top 10 lists can be a bit off sometimes, I thought you'd be interested in their 10 best cities for transit: http://cityguides.msn.com/articles/cityarticle.aspx?cp-documentid=19621893&gt1=24000

I'm thrilled that Cleveland's on the list (as someone who had family there). For all the flak the city gets, it's a nice place and the Rapid is fantastic.

Heh, or maybe I shouldn't be complimenting Cleveland now that I'm in da 'Burgh? ;)
